Walt:we are learning to be awesome kuaka of paparore
We had to find 12 words to fill our kuaka. We were given
3 pieces of paper with feathers on it. We had to
write words on them cfrom the Student Graduate Profile. Once were done writing the words we colour them in. When were done colouring them all in we cut the feathers out. When we were done Whaea Kelly helped us glue the feathers on the Kuaka. Then if there was any white we coloured it in.
It was Easy and Hard at the same time
Do you know anything about kuaka?
Kia Ora. I am a Year 6 student in Te Kauru at Paparore School. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feedforward. Other times I will share my final published pieces.

Whitebait Connection
WALT:We are learning to be Kaitiaki in our community
Last monday we went to te tinana, Nina Pivac came
to talk about whitebait connection. My favourite part
was the game we all sat in a huge circle Nina gave
out jars of different things, for example Hazel-rose
Had dish liquid there was a bowl of water in the
middle of the cirlce.Nina read a story about what
we were doing to the lakes each jar had a label
Nina said for the people who had jars if they heard
their name they pour it in the bowl and
Mix it.
The hardest part was writing it out
